Is it for me?

Junior dragbike racing is designed to be as affordable and as accessible as possible, but with no compromise on safety. We appreciate that this is your own blood out there and there is nothing more precious.

As with all motor sport it costs, but how much is really up to you. The rules state that you may use any make or model of engine, and any configuration with in your capacity limit. So you get quite a choice. With a wide range of engine options being available second hand if you chose, the cost need not be at all excessive. Ring around your local motorcycle breakers or check out your local free ads paper.

For those who would like a ready to race bike or haven't the time or the facilities to build their own, then there are several builders out there; ready, willing and able to take up the challenge for you.
Keep an eye on the site and I am sure that names and numbers will soon be available.

Doesn't the size of my pocket limit my chances of winning?

You do not have to be either the fastest or the most expensive bike out there to win! The races are run on an ET dial in basis i.e. (elapsed time) you run as close as you can to the time you say you will. A rider saying they will run 19 seconds and actually running 19.2 sec's will win over a racer dialling in 12 seconds and actually running 12.5 sec's. So you don't have to be the fastest, you just need to be the most consistent. This is a great way to start racing.

Drag racing is a great weekend out for the family, with top facilities in a safe environment.
It can involve all members, or just a couple but either way it will mean working together and learning together.
